Similar to the Foam RNNR, the Yeezy Slide is constructed entirely out of EVA Foam, does not contain adidas’s BOOST technology, and has no visual branding. What the Yeezy Slide lacks in branding and extra frills, it makes up for in comfort. In the midfoot, there’s an elevated arch area to provide some arch support while the heel area is a little bit indented and it curves around the entire back end. I usually am a women’s size 8 and I did pick this up in a men’s size 7. In relation to my Yeezy sizes, I do get all of my 350 v2s in a size 7 and so I went and got the same size as my 350 v2 size. So, my size recommendation would be to get the next higher size. So, if you’re a size 10, go up to 11 and I think even if you’re a 10.5, 11 should be okay for you as well. The front portion where your toes show is much narrower than the rest of the slide itself, which I think impacts the sizing on these slides. You can kind of compare the sizing on these Slides to a pair of Yeezy 350s.
The material on the Slides feels very rubber-like and so you don’t want this strap rubbing on the top of your feet because that might feel uncomfortable throughout the day. Yeezy Slides run very small, so it’s highly recommended to size up. If you normally wear a size 10.5, I definitely recommend you go a half size up to a size 11. And if you have wide feet, you might even need to get a size 12 because, again, Yeezy Slides aren’t available in half sizes. The Yeezy Slides are notorious for having the weirdest sizing ever. I ordered the older slides in a 12, but surprisingly, the size 11 in the Yeezy Slides Azure fits me really well.
This either could be the injection point where they shot the foam into the mold to actually create the shoe and then they cut it off when they removed it from the mold. This is honestly how I think future loungewear is going to look and I think that’s sort of the vibe that Kanye is going for and I’m all for it. But if you go from something that’s dry to something that’s wet, it’s going to be slick right at first. Overall, the comfort of the foam on the Yeezy Slides is pretty much next level. But the EVA foam used in the midfoot of the Yeezy Slide is incredibly soft, incredibly cushy, and it bounces back really nicely.
